Sunday, December 1st 2019 11.00 AM, the first live performance of my sacred entrata (introitus) will take place at Anna’s Church, Nørrebro, Copenhagen. I have composed the entrata around the Danish hymn called “Vær velkommen Herrens år”, celebrating the first day in the clerical year – “First sunday of advent” as we say in Danish. The choir (8 singers) will sing, violinist Christian Ellegaard from National Danish Symphony Orchestra plays the solo part and I conduct from the organ continou. The church service is led by pastor Jonna Dalsgaard. To conclude the service (“postludium”), Christian Ellegaard and I will perform one movement from Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto.
